I’ve had plenty of good nights on vodka redbulls. You just need to know your limit and not have the equivalent of 10 cans of redbull and half a bottle of vodka.

We used to do six double vodka redbulls a night on top of the eight pints of beer and what ever else was of interest to us. But that was in my 20s. I still have the odd double vodka redbull though. I quite like it.

In the old days we used to drink from the close of doors at work 17:45, till 03:00 the following morning. Be up for 08:00, in work for 08:45 and do the whole thing over again.

If it was cheap, all the better and if it was really cheap all the more was drank.

I could do that any longer. Last time I was out (last month) I only had five whiskeys, two vodkas and three Guinness.

I did, once. In 2002. At a party I threw myself I mixed my own drinks. They quickly neared 50% wodka, 50% RB. I know my limits with beer and whine and the like, even then at barely 19 years old. But with the RB sugar and caffeine (I don’t drink coffee, ever) rush added I drank that stuff like water.

It ended up being the only night in my life in which I cannot recall what happened. The stories my friends told me about how I shamed myself that night were horrific.

I’ve never touched Red Bull again, ever.
